The hooks on our plastic post earrings are just that: plastic and therefore won't cause irritation to those with sensitivities to metals. These earrings measure approximately 1” wide by 1.75” long (2.5” from the top of the ear hook). The top portion is a medium wood grain/pattern while the Santa portion is an iridescent white to blue to light orange and is slightly translucent.
Disclaimer: Our dangle earrings do use metal rings to connect the ear hook to the pendant. This part rarely, if ever, touches the ear, and therefore should not cause irritation.
