The hooks on our plastic post earrings are just that: plastic and therefore won't cause irritation to those with sensitivities to metals. These earrings measure approximately 1.25” wide by 1.25” long (2.1” from the top of the ear hook). The top portion is a buffalo plaid acrylic while the glasses portion is a matte black acrylic. They’re very lightweight and comfortable for all day wear... and won't actually hurt your eyes (or ears!)
Disclaimer: Our dangle earrings do use metal rings to connect the ear hook to the pendant. This part rarely, if ever, touches the ear, and therefore should not cause irritation.
